A TOAST TO THE VINES, WINE,THE VALLEY AND LOVE

If You look
at the world map, you will see several places, which you may know about, simply because of the good brands of wine produced there.
Southern France.
The territories of Spain and Portugal rugged between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Italian Peninsula too.
Walk along this latitude far to the west, and you will see the warm California which produces wonderful wine, of late.
To the south, on the other side of the Earth – Australia, with its wonderful wildlife and people.
And through the Pacific Ocean – the steep slopes of Chile and the wide lowlands of Argentina.
If You come back to our continent, look at our peninsula (The Balkan Peninsular). Look between the Danube River and the Mediterranean Sea. Here there is a mountain range locally called Stara Planina (The Old Mountain), and from an aerial view, it really looks like a human spinal cord; and nearby are the Rodopi Mountains. Having in mind the structure of the Stara Planina, the location of the Rodopi Mountains is similar to where, otherwise the human heart could be.  Within this historical geographical vicinity on our peninsular, lies a place where the gods had taught people to cultivate vineyards and make quality wine.*
If You get near to the slopes of the Rodopi Mountains, you will have a chance to discover the Bessa Valley of the ancient Thracian people.
This is actually where we cultivate the vines and for ages already, we brew the quality wine here. This has been going on from such a long time, when even around these mountains, apart from other wildlife species, still lived lions, and the world was still not inhabited with people.
The wine here was always produced perfectly. If you don’t believe it, read what is written about it by the well-known poet - Homer.
If You taste our wine from the last yield you will see that many things have not changed. The wine is still first class.
The best occasion to prove this will be on the 14th of February.
On this date we will enter the cycle of producing the wine brand called Enira, from the harvest of 2008.
If you come to the valley on that day, we can do some old rituals together in honor of the vines, the wine and their ritual protector - Saint Triffon.
If On the 14th of February you are in Spain or France, in California or Australia, you can see how the vines “wake up” there, or how the local people celebrate The Day of Love.
However, it is only here where both wine and love are jointly and astoundingly celebrated together in one tender festival. May be because there is no other place like the Bessa valley and another brand of wine like Enira.
Let’s drink a toast!

Cheers from me and on behalf of other wine and vine growers from the Bessa valley.

After such words it is proper to drink a toast and taste the wine.

I will be very glad to welcome you on 14 th of February.

 * Now we approve that the people from the old age cultivated the vine, and they discovered some nice wild plants which they later selected and in the process, they discovered the quality fermentation process…
But who knows?

One may wonder whether this version of the myths wasn’t the most likely, especially if he tastes the Enira wine.
