14.02.2012 at 11.00 am Winery "Bessa Valley" celebrated the one of the most popular Bulgarian holidays - Trifon Zarezan. The day of St. Trifon - the guardian of the wine and a symbol of good harvest, was honored with an ancient ceremony of trimming the vine. The hosts were General Director of "Bessa Valley" Ivaylo Antonov and Marc Dworkin, Chief Expert of Enira Wines. The traditional ceremony was preceded by a dedication ceremony for health, fertility and prosperity.

The new blend of Bessa Valley winery - Enira 2008 will be shortly available in the stores. This is the second vintage of the prestigious wine Bessa Valley is presenting to the public in one year. The previous vintage Enira 2007 is nearly out of stock because of the great demand of consumers and merchants.

Dr Karl-Heinz Hauptmann, main shareholder and founder of Qingdao Great River Hill Winery in the province of Shandong, China, visited it to taste its first vintage after three years of careful nurturing and hard work. Great River Hill's first wine will be a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon.

Mr Ivaylo Antonov welcomed today at Bessa Valley a very important guest from the People's Republic of China. The Deputy Agriculture Minister of China Gao Honbin and his delegation paid us a visit to taste the superb wines, that we produce from the grapes we grow in the ancient valley of the Thraki. Our much welcomed guests tasted Enira, Enira Reserva and Duo by Enira from the latest vintages. Enira wines are extremely well appreciated in their home country with an annual export of approximately 60 000 bottles.

We are happy to announce that Enira 2007 won first place in the contest “The best wine you can drink in Japan 2011”. The contest aims to distinguish the best wines on Japanese market both imported and local. The jury that rated the wines included 10 wine experts and 60 consumers, which adds value to the selection. Enira 2007 was the only wine that gathered highest rates in all categories both from professionals and consumers.

Bessa Valley Winery celebrated its 10th anniversary on the 9th of September 2011. Count Stephan von Neipperg, owner of Bessa Valley Winery, and dr. Karl Heinz Hauptmann, the main shareholder, were more than proud to commemorate the 10th birthday of their Bulgarian project in the valley of the Thracian tribe Bessi near Ognyanovo village, Bulgaria.
