The Golden Rhyton for Enira and the Pari newsapaper 's Golden Barrels for Bessa Valley and Domain Menada were undisputedly the climax at the Ball and Vinaria 2006. According to our famous wine-maker Tsanko Stanchev there isn’t another wine like Enira in Bulgaria! He wasn't the only one- couple of thousands applausing people shared his opinion when Marc Dworkin lifted up over his head the only one Golden Rhyton for the evening, presented by the Minister Rumen Ovcharov.

There wasn't any discussion about the Pari newspaper's Golden Barrels for the biggest foreign and Bulgarian investments in the sphere of viticulture and wine-making. The millions of euro, invested from Domain Menada and Bessa Valley are undisputable. These investments brought along the marvellous wines, which were presented with so many awards at the Ball: Golden Rhyton for Enira and tens of golden, silver and bronze medals for the wine's of Domain Menada. On the second place for medals is LVK Wine Factory, Targovishte. They also got Pari newspaper's diploma for big investment in the branch. The rest of the special diplomas were presented to Vini Sliven and Vinprom Karnobat.

There were presented 135 medals in total, few gold and more silver and bronze. 10 golds for the rakias. The first three of them for Peshterska Grozdova- the one with the highest tasting rates. The gold was taken by Slivenska Perla and the rakias of LVK Vinprom Targovishte and Chernomorsko Zlato Pomorie.

There are dissatisfied in very competition. No medal for the wines of Stambolovo, just few for Vinprom Rousse. Although the manager of Vinprom Rousse Natalia Kazkuva said that no one can reach them in the sales in Russia and in her opinion that is the most important reward. Vanya Stancheva, executive director of Vinprom Troyan noted that the Troyan plum rakia ot theirs was presented with golden medal abroad and with silver at Vinaria.

Again it was proposed at this year's Vinaria for foreign tasters. Margarit Todorov from Domain Boyar went further in his proposal the tasters to be not even from the sphere of wine-making, i.e. journalist. The idea was rejected.
The stands of Vinaria were undisputed too: really done in European style - starting from the futuristic and eye-catching Temple of Wine of Vinprom Peshtera to Harmanli Terra Tangra's five barrels. There were other attractions: 12 little wine bottle of Domain Menada, on sale of 270 levs, the Lovico Suhindo's bottle Gamza -vintage 1909, costing 600 levs.

Today the famous artist Philippe Dufrenoy is drawing in old Mavrud.

So this year's Vinaria has come to an end. Young oenologists promised to make wine only from grapes. Hopefully there will be good wine. And more wines, awarded with Golden Rhytons.
